China: Met coke producers mull second round of price hike

Chinese met coke producers are expected to raise prices by RMB 200/t ($33/t) after the first round of hike announced in the start of this week. After the Winter Olympics, coking coal demand by Chinese steel mills rose, narrowing margins of met coke producers. Also, high-quality coking coal supplies from Mongolia was constrained as the washing plants suspended operations over environmental concerns.
