The domestic trade reference prices of hot-rolled (HR) plate (E250, 5-10mm) remain stuck at last week’s levels of INR 66,500-67,500/t exy Mumbai, as demand remains lacklusture. Further, market particpants are anticipating an increase of INR 1,000-1,500/t by the mills for early Mar’22 sales.
However, Chinese heavy plate (SS400) export offers inched up to $835-845/t FOB from $835-840/t last week.
