Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed a significant d-o-d fall of RMB 50/t ($8/t) on 24 Feb’22. Prices stood at RMB 4,600/t ($727/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for May’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,637/t ($733/t), witnessing a sharp fall of RMB 149/t ($23/t), d-o-d.
