Domestic steel wire rods manufacturers in Raipur increased prices today by INR 500/t d-o-d to INR 53,200/t exw, with trade discounts of INR 500/t. However, low buying interest at prevailing offers forced the suppliers to offer attractive trade discounts hovering around INR 1,000/t. Currently, the plants are maintaining the conversion spread (margin) from steel billet to wire rods is in the range of INR 3,800-4,000/t, SteelMint learnt from sources.
