Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, dropped by INR 500/t d-o-d on 23 Feb’22. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 42,000/t, while attachment prices stand at INR 43,000/t exy. Scrap prices dropped due to average transactions in semi-finished steel and buyer sources confirmed that the spot market witnessed slow trades on higher prices yesterday that prompted scrap suppliers to reduce offers.
