Ferrous scrap prices witnessed minor variations at key locations in the country on 22 Feb’22. Prices remained supported in the western and southern regions, rising by INR 100-300/t following tight supply and an uptick in semi-finished steel prices in the Chennai market. However, in north India, prices saw a minor correction. Near-term expectations remain unclear owing to the prevailing uncertainty in steel prices, trader sources informed.
