Global aluminium production falls 4.5% y-o-y in Jan’22

The world’s primary aluminium production fell by 4.5% in Jan’22 to 5.5 mnt, as per the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) against 5.77 mnt in Jan’21. China emerged as the world’s largest producer with estimated 3.1 mnt but the volumes fell by around 8% y-o-y, as per data complied by SteelMint.
