An Indian steel mill has concluded an export deal for 15,000 t of steel grade pig iron for early Mar’22 shipment, market sources informed SteelMint. The tender was concluded at around $640/t CFR SE Asia, equivalent to $580-585/t FOB India. Indian pig iron export prices have risen sharply by $35-40/t against prices seen last week amidst supply concerns due to Russia-Ukraine tensions.
