KIOCL is setting up a new coke oven plant near its blast furnace facility in Mangaluru, Karnataka. The annual capacity of the plant would be around 187,000 t per annum. The non-recovery type coke oven is being installed to cater to the requirements of the blast furnace with a capacity of around 200,000 t. Union Steel Minister Ram Chandra Prasad Singh will lay the foundation stone for the plant on 20 Feb’22.
