Indonesian firms sign agreement to strengthen domestic coal supply chain

In order to enhance domestic coal supply, major Indonesian producer Bukit Asam, power utility PLN and rail operator Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) have signed an interim agreement. The firms will collaborate to develop an operational system ready for deployment by 2025 where Bukit Asam will supply 20mn t/year of coal to PLN under the terms of the proposal.
