Indonesian thermal coal prices of different grades remained within a tight range this week rising by just $1/t as a sharp fall in coal prices in China compelled traders to step back from making overseas purchases. Chinese traders waited for prices to ease further before making any major bookings. The price for 6500 GAR coal stood at $172/t FOB, while 5000 GAR coal was assessed at $117/t FOB.
