Pakistan: Ferrous scrap imports fall by 17%, m-o-m, in Jan’22

Leading South Asian ferrous scrap importer, Pakistan, has recorded a sharp drop of 17% m-o-m, in seaborne bookings for Jan’22.
Imports stood at 340,000 t in Jan’22 against 410,000 t in Dec’21, as per SteelMint customs data.
On a y-o-y basis, import volumes declined by 23% from 440,000 t in Jan’21.
