SAIL conducted an auction today for 5,000 t (60 kg) of full-length commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 43,900/t exw, sources informed. Bid prices increased by INR 500/t compared to the previous auction on 5 Feb at which 8,000 t of rails were booked at INR 43,400/t exw.
