India: Hyderabad-based rebar producers raise gauge parity by INR 500/t ($6/t)

Rebar manufacturers in Hyderabad, Telangana, have increased the gauge parity by INR 500/t ($6/t) for all sizes from 16 Feb’22. The gauge parity for 8mm, 10mm and 32mm rebar is at INR 5,500/t and for 12-25mm rebar at INR 4,500/t. Producers have raised parity in order to improve margins. Today, the conversion spread (margin) from steel billet to 12mm rebar is at around INR 6,000/t.
