State-owned miner OMC has rescheduled the date for its chrome ore auction, which will be held on 17 Feb’22. OMC has raised base prices by 12% for the auctions in response to domestic ferro chrome prices rising 9% m-o-m, as SteelMint assessed on 10 Feb. The auction is for 35,100 t of regular grade and 50,000 t of sub-grade ore. Current prices of ferro chrome are at INR 104,000/t exw Jajpur, Odisha.
