India: Sponge iron offers remain strong in Raipur on active demand

Pellet-based DRI (P-DRI, FeM 80%) prices rose by INR 100/t to INR 33,800/t exw Raipur today.
5,000 t of P-DRI (FeM 79-80%) deals were reported at INR 33,500-33,800/t versus offers at INR 33,800-34,000/t on exw and DAP Raipur basis.
Prices remain strong on active demand and the market expects that offers would not drop as raw material prices are keeping firm, SteelMint notes.
