Vietnam: Ferrous scrap imports plunge 70%, m-o-m, in Jan’22

Vietnam’s ferrous scrap imports were recorded at 0.16 mnt in Jan’22, down 70% m-o-m from 0.54 mnt in Dec.
The USA was the largest supplier with 50,000 t, followed by Japan and New Zealand with 30,000 t each.
On a year-on-year basis, import volumes declined by 58% from 0.38 mnt in Jan’21.
