Vietnam: Steel imports up 12%, m-o-m, in Jan’22

Vietnam’s steel imports rose 12% to 1.01 mnt in Jan’22 as against 0.90 mnt in Dec, SteelMint data shows. However, on an annualised basis, steel imports dropped 16% compared with 1.20 mnt in Jan’21. With end-user demand picking up following the easing of lockdown restrictions amid falling COVID cases, steel imports are rising.
