Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed a d-o-d fall of RMB 40/t ($6/t) on 14 Feb’22. Prices stood at RMB 4,700/t ($739/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for May’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,817/t ($758/t), a sharp fall of RMB 88/t ($14/t), d-o-d.
