Sarda mines asked for more time to submit documents.
Today, Odisha government heard responses of 16 miners including the 11 miners the CEC team has visited recently and miners accused of violating rule 37 of MCR. On the basis of their responses, the Odisha government will prepare its report to be submitted to the CEC by 21 Jul, 2014.
“During its visit, CEC team has asked for some specific queries on lessees and today miners have submitted their responses and relevant documents with us and on the basis this we’ll prepare our report, which will be submitted to the CEC,” said Deepak Mohanty, Director of Mines, Odisha.
The 16 miners that were asked to submit their response includes AMTC, Essel Mining, Sarda mines, Rungta, Sirazuddin, Ram Bahadur Thakur, R P Sao, KJS Ahluwalia, Indrani Pattnaik, Kavita Agrawal, MESCO, Mala Roy and JSPL.
Meanwhile, according to some official sources, Sarda mines, accused of rule 37 violation and as many as 14 forest act violations, asked for one day’s time to submit its documents by tomorrow, otherwise the department will prepare the report by its own.
