Ukrainian steel products, including all types of ferro alloys, will be exempt from import taxation by Turkey as a result of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey on 3 Feb’22. The agreement will facilitate Ukrainian ferro alloys shipments to Turkey, enabling Ukrainian producers to reclaim their position in the market. Turkey had imposed an import duty of 3.7% and 5.7% on Ukrainian silico manganese and ferro silicon imports, respectively.
