After rising sharply over the last two weeks, portside prices of US 6900 NAR coal have corrected by INR 600/t w-o-w to INR 18,600/t at Kandla Port amid limited buying appetite of cement manufacturers. This comes amid sufficient coal stock with the cement industry and competitive domestic pet coke prices. Traders were heard offering at lower levels to clear stock before renewed buying, market participants informed.
