POSCO’s cold-rolled galvanised steel sales aggregated to 1.22 mnt in Jan’22, up by 9% compared to 1.11 mnt a month ago, SteelDaily reports. The increase in sales was majorly because of higher exports. Export volumes in the month stood at 0.74 mnt while domestic sales were at 0.47 mnt.
Meanwhile, on a y-o-y comparison, sales of cold-rolled galvanised steel remained largely stable.

The country’s hot-dipped galvanised and black plates sales increased by more than 20% on a monthly basis in Jan’22. However, sales of full hard steel sheets decreased by 1.6% m-o-m.
Exports of pickled steel sheets and full hard steel sheets dropped marginally in Jan’22 compared to the previous month while exports of other products increased m-o-m.
