Hindalco Industries has bagged Meenakshi coal block on the second day of auction envisaged under the third tranche. The block located in Odisha having geological reserve of 235 mnt, was sold at a nominal bid price of 10.25% against floor price of 10%. This is second coal block secured by the company. Earlier it had won Chakla block in the first tranche.
