India: Pet coke imports fall 27% in Jan’22 on increased domestic demand

India’s pet coke imports registered a 27% m-o-m fall to 0.74 mnt in Jan’22, CoalMint data showed. The sharp fall came as Indian cement manufacturers preferred domestic procurement over imported booking. In line with a fall in imported pet coke prices last month, domestic prices also corrected by INR 2,500-3,000/t m-o-m in Jan’22.
