Outokumpu’s stainless steel deliveries jump in CY’21

Outokumpu’s stainless steel deliveries stood at 2.27 mnt in CY’21, rising by 12% y-o-y from 2.02 mnt in CY’20. Total stainless-steel sales witnessed a sharp hike of 37% to EUR 6,547 million in CY’21 as compared to EUR 4,763 million in CY’20.
Interestingly, its America-based unit clocked sales higher by 63% at EUR 1,947 million. According to the company’s annual report, a significantly higher price realisation for stainless steel and improved product mix contributed to increased profitability in America’s figures.
