Vietnam: Domestic scrap prices expected to rise on improved demand

Prices for H1 and H2 grade ferrous scrap in Vietnam are assessed at VND 11,900/kg ($517/t) and VND 11,600/kg ($504/t), respectively, a decline of 600 VND/kg ($26/t) compared to prices before the Tet holidays.
It is expected that prices might increase on expected demand pick up post-holidays and after the Kanto tender outcome.
Import prices of Japanese bulk H2 scrap are assessed at $515/t CFR.
