India’s coking coal imports in Jan’22 rose marginally by 1.3% m-o-m to 3.73 mnt. Imports from Australia increased by 10% on the month in spite of a surge of 35% in hard coking coal prices on a monthly basis. SAIL was the top importer at 1.08 mnt, followed by JSW Steel at 0.95 mnt.
