State owned steel plant Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL), has floated a tender for purchase of Ferro Alloys to its 1.1 million ton capacity iron making plant based near Cuttack (Odisha) through MMTC.

Ferro Silicon– 500 MT of Grade 70-72% Si, Phos 0.04
HC Ferro Manganese- 500 MT of grade 70% Mn, Carbon 6-8%
HC Silico Manganese– 1000 MT of Grade 60-62% Mn, Si 15%, P 0.03
Recently domestic prices have been raised over hike in manganese ore prices and power tariffs.Tentative prices for respective products in open market are,
Ferro Silicon (70-75%)- Rs 66,500/t (Ex Guwahati) ($1220/t)
Ferro Manganese (70%)- Rs 54,000-55,000/t (Ex Raipur) ($990-1009/t)
Silicon Manganese (60/15)- Rs 54,500-55,000/t (Ex Raipur/Durgapur) ($1000-1009/t)
Last date of submission bids is 2nd of May 2013.
