Brazil: Iron ore exports down 20%, m-o-m, in Jan’22

• Brazil’s iron ore export volumes in Jan’22 decreased* by 20% m-o-m to 25.21 mnt compared to 31.43 mnt in Dec, according to Brazil customs.
• On a year-on-year basis, exports decreased against 28.93 mnt in Jan’21.
• The average price of iron ore exported from Brazil in Jan stood at $73.6/t on FOB basis.
