Glencore’s total coal production in 2021 fell 3% on the year to 103 mnt as a result of suspension of operations at its mines in Colombia on maintenance and labour issues coupled with lower demand from the power sector and rail capacity constraints in South Africa. The company has kept its production guidance unchanged at 121 mnt for 2022.
