Heavy structural steel manufacturers in Raipur, central India, have increased prices by INR 300/t today. Current offers for 150mm channel are at INR 54,900/t exw. However, trade discounts of around INR 1,000/t are also being offered to boost sales. Higher raw material prices pushed manufacturers to raise structural steel prices but buying interest remains weak at high prices, sources informed SteelMint.
