Billet prices in Iran rose amid power cuts and gas outages, demand from re-rollers and competition at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME). Following the hike in billet prices at IME and cold weather forcing mills to stop supply, rebar prices also increased sharply.
- Steel billet prices rose by 1,500 Rial/Kg to 140,500 Rial/Kg against 27 Jan’22.
- Rebar prices stood at 160,000 Rial/Kg on 31 Jan, an increase of 2,000 Rial/Kg.
