Bhavnagar ship breaking HMS scrap prices open at a lower side on Rs 22,900/MT. Prices went down by Rs 100/MT in the early trade at Rs 23,000/MT (Basic Price, ED & Taxes extra).
Rolling plate cutting scrap suppliers have also reduced their offers by up to Rs 100-300/MT on thin buying interest. Scrap of 4 ANI plate traded at Rs 23,500/MT, 6 ANI at Rs 24,600-700/MT and 12 ANI at Rs 26400/MT.
“Prices are fluctuating in the range of Rs 100-300/MT these days for ship breaking scrap. It is expected to hold the same pattern in the coming days as well”, said a trader based in Alang.
HMS (80:20) scrap offers at Mumbai stands at Rs 22,500-600/t (Basic prices), Chennai at Rs 23,500/t (Basic Prices).
