Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) held an auction for 4,000 t (two rakes) of steel grade pig iron on 27 Jan’22 from Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) in Jharkhand. Buyers booked the entire quantity at weighted average price of INR 44,650/t exw, SteelMint learnt from sources. Bid prices increased by INR 2,900/t compared to the previous auction on 19 Jan.
