India: Over 10,000 t sponge iron deals concluded to Bangladesh

Sponge iron (FeM 80%, lumps 100%) export prices to Bangladesh climbed further by $15/t to $510/t CPT Benapole, equivalent to $540/t CFR Chittagong, as per SteelMint assessment. About 10,000-12,000 t deals reported this week.
Prices rose as domestic offers gained by up to INR 1,100/t ($15/t), w-o-w.
Buyers have resumed purchases on optimistic domestic trends on slight improved demand. In addition too, optimistic trends globally on higher raw material prices, SteelMint notes.
