Australia: South32’s coking coal output declines 15%, y-o-y, in Oct-Dec’21

Australian miner South32’s Oct-Dec’21 quarterly report shows that coking coal production stood at 1.19 mnt, down 15% y-o-y and 24% q-o-q. Production declined due to COVID-19-related labours issues. The miner reported average coking coal prices for the Jul-Dec period at $303/t, up 183% year-on-year and higher by 146% compared to Jan-Jun.
