India: SAIL tenders for Purchase of Ferro Chrome

SAIL invites global tender for purchase of High Carbon (HC) Ferro Chrome for its various plants.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), the largest Indian producer, invites tender from domestic as well as overseas suppliers for supply of HC Ferro Chrome for its various plants.

General Conditions

• Overseas manufacturers, indigenous manufacturers or Indian importer (including Central PSU or trading house) can participate with required document (Letter of Authority)
• An Indian agent can submit offer on behalf of only one foreign principal. In case, the said foreign principal also submits offer directly against this tender, offer of the foreign principal shall only be considered
• Bidder must quote 70% of mentioned quantity for 6-month

• Size: 10-70 mm

Quantity: 11,530 MT (projected)

Delivery period: Aug’14-Jan’15

Terms of Delivery

Required quantity shall be delivered within 3 months after placing order by individual SAIL plants, it may extended by buyers option for next 3 months.
