India: Tata Metaliks hikes pig iron prices by INR 1,000/t ($13/t)

Tata Metaliks has increased basic grade pig iron prices by INR 1,000/t ($13/t), or about 2.5%. Fresh offers are at INR 46,300/t.
Although foundry grade offers by the company are stable at INR 48,400/t, prices are likely to be revised soon. Prices are exw-Kharagpur, applicable for the Kolkata and Howrah markets.
A significant hike in offers by the private producers and rising coal prices are supporting pig iron prices.
