SAIL conducted an auction today for 84,000 t of iron ore fines from the Bolani mines in Odisha. Out of the total quantity, the company received bids for 8,000 t offered at INR 5,990/t (loaded, including royalty, DMF and NMET). The material put to auction was Fe 62.5%-indicative grade and fetched bids at the base price. The auction elicited limited response due to the high base price, sources said.
