China’s ferro chrome imports were recorded at 2.36 mn t in CY’21 – down 14% y-o-y from 3.07 mn t in CY’20. Around 85% of China’s total imports were from South Africa (1.29 mn t) followed by Kazakhstan (0.633 mnt) and India (0.31 mn t). China witnessed a rise in domestic production of ferro chrome by 5% y-o-y to 5.94 mn t in CY’21.
