China’s steel output falls while production of other key metals rises in 2021

According to National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), China’s steel output falls while production of other key metals rises in 2021. China’s refined copper production rose 7.4% year-on-year to 10.49 mn t in 2021, exceeding 10 mn t for the second straight year. Production of lead, zinc and alumina also hit annual record highs in 2021, NBS data shows.
