Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 4,440/t ($700/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 21 Jan’22. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for May’22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 4,711/t ($743/t), witnessing a slight decrease of only RMB 2/t ($0.32/t), d-o-d.
