Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 200/t on 21 Jan’22. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) prices are assessed at INR 39,000/t exw, while attachment prices are at INR 40,000/t exw. Improved market sentiments evident in yesterday’s trading session and the rise in prices of semis across regions led to the strengthening in scrap offers today.
