Pakistan: Scrap import prices inch down in recent deals

Around 1,000 t of UK/EU-origin shredded scrap in containers was booked at $547/t CFR Qasim recently, sources informed SteelMint.
SteelMint’s assessment for shredded scrap import prices into Pakistan stands at $550/t CFR, a slight fall of $2/t on a d-o-d basis.
However, a sharp fall in prices is unlikely as yards are holding offers firm.
