India: SECL touches 100 mn t coal production mark in ongoing fiscal

South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL) has become the second subsidiary of Coal India Ltd. (CIL) after Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL) to cross the 100 mn t mark in coal production in the ongoing fiscal (FY’22). SECL’s production was recorded at 100.19 mn t on 18 Jan’22, lagging just behind MCL’s output of 127.01 mn t. CIL’s total production till date in FY’22 stands at 449.73 mn t, up 5% on the year.
