PSU steelmaker SAIL held an auction for 4,800 t of basic grade pig iron (in 48 units) on 18 Jan’22 from the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Odisha. Buyers booked the entire 48 units at a weighted average price of INR 42,350/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices increased by INR 2,350/t in comparison with the previous auction held on 12 Jan.
