Vale SA has informed that it has partially resumed operations at its Southeastern and Southern systems after halting production due to heavy rainfall in Brazil’s Minas Gerais region. Approximately 1.5 mn t of iron ore production loss has been estimated as a result of suspension of operations. Vale has reiterated its iron ore production guidance of 320-325 mn t for 2022, considering the impact of the rainy season on its operations.
