Tokyo Steel, Japan’s leading EAF steelmaker, has kept its HRC and rebar prices unchanged for Feb’22 sales. The steel producer’s HRC prices are at JPY 110,000/t ($962/t), while rebar is at JPY 89,000 ($778/t). Subdued demand in the overseas market along with disrupted supply chains seem to have balanced out strong construction steel demand and high orders from shipbuilders.
