- South Korean steelmakers Hyundai Steel and Dongkuk Steel have signed a contract for supply of 17,000 t of Russian A3 scrap recently, as per Steel Daily reports.
- The price of scrap has been finalised at $513/t on CFR basis, lower by $6/t against Hyundai Steel’s last contract.
- South Korea’s scrap imports were at 420,000 t in Dec’21, up 17% m-o-m, with Russia supplying 60,000 t.
